International Trade Fair of Powder & Bulk Solids Technologies – SYMAS

KG Legal takes part in the SyMas trade fair in Kraków. It is a trade fair for the exhibitors of machines for factories processing all loose materials and mixers (feed, grit, cement, etc.). The trade show will also allow to present the professional measuring instruments.

KG Legal provides legal assistance to powder and bulk companies operating in the Polish market, with a special expertise in franchise, distribution and sale contracts, litigation, IP protection, debt enforcement in Poland and all aspects related to doing business in Poland.

Polish Patent Office Symposium – the Passio Group

After the keynotes speeches, including a welcome speech of Alicja Adamczak, President of Polish Patent Office, Polish lawyer and patent attorney, representatives of the Passio Group – Emil Klucz and Radosław Ratajczak presented the group’s activities in the part of symposium entitled Startup and what’s next? The main sectors where the industry operates are metrology electronics, medical devices, farm technology, aviation, medicine and nanotechnology.

Polish Patent Office Symposium – Keynote speeches

The symposium was opened with a welcome speech by Dr. Alicja Adamczak, President of the Patent Office, Polish lawyer and patent attorney. Next speaker was Dr Francis Gurry, Director General of World Inellectual Property Organization, who unfortunately could not attend the symposium in person. In this connection, a video was played, on which Dr. Francis Gurry spoke about start-ups and the importance of intellectual property, which was a good introduction to the symposium.

Workshop on “Corporations and start-ups – how to cooperate?” was conducted by Mrs. Monika Różalska from Creators Ideation Lab and by Mrs. Beata Cichocka-Tylman from PWC Sp. z.o.o.

The subject of the workshops was identical with topic, so it was about cooperation between corporations. The participants were mainly entrepreneurs, people working in Treasury companies, start-up and other participants.

  1. Intelligent Development Operational Programme 2014-2020

The Intelligent Development Operational Programme 2014-2020 (IDOP) is the Polish operational programme financing research, development and innovation. It was drawn up on the basis of Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013, as well as on the basis of the Act of 11 July 2014 on the principles of implementation of cohesion policy programmes financed in the financial perspective 2014-2020. The aim of the programme is to improve the innovativeness of the Polish economy as well as to develop cooperation between the science sector and business. A significant amount of 8 613 929 014 euro of European funds has been prepared to carry out these activities.

KG Legal participated in the webinar “European Funds for the cooperation of entrepreneurs and scientists”. This presentation was prepared by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna – leading Polish legal magazine. The webinar focused on vouchers for innovation for small and medium entrepreneurs provided by Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and on Application projects provided by National Center for Research and Development. The discussion focused on various issues e.g. good preparation of application or type of costs covered by the grant.
